光科系长期致力于新型激光技术的研发,目前主要研究包括(1)超高强度激光脉冲的产生与检测,在检测技术上具有多项领先国际的关键技术指标,拥有美国授权专利,应用于国家大型激光工程项目;(2)高功率中红外光纤激光的研发,主要从事掺Er、Tm、Ho等透明陶瓷激光的研制。掺Ho及掺Er 的YAG陶瓷激光输出功率都代表国际目前最好水平.

Laser Engineering: OSE commits to develop novel laser technologies for more than 50 years. Currently, the main research directions include: (1) Generation and diagnosis of ultrahigh power pulsed laser. Some performance indices of the pulsed laser diagnoses are the best in the world. The related technologies hold patents in the United States, and the technologies have been applied in major laser engineering in China. (2) Development of high power mid-infrared fiber lasers, mainly focusing on transparent ceramic laser systems doped with Er、Tm、Ho. The output power of YAG ceramic lasers doped with Ho and Er set records in the world.
